Do you accept works in a language other than English?

Yes, but all non-English dialogue MUST include onscreen English subtitles at the time of submission. Please ensure that all subtitles are hardcoded on your video file as opposed to titles that must be turned on in order to display on the screen such as utilizing the "CC" option on your Vimeo upload or subtitle files on a physical disc.

Do you accept works in progress and rough cuts?

No. All films MUST be submitted in their final cut version.

Should I include a trailer?

You do not have to include a trailer with your submission. However, Film Grove recommends that you produce a trailer if your film is approved for the streaming channel. A trailer can be used for you to market your film on other platforms to drive traffic to your film on the streaming channel. 

What kinds of films do you accept?

We accept all kinds of films and are not limited to certain genres. 

We will not accept pornography.

We will not accept music videos, commercials, PSAs, or promotional films. 

We will not accept films that have received national US network television (including cable) or theatrical release prior to submission. Films that are available for sale on DVD, or available for viewing on the internet or another streaming channel are not eligible.

What is the Acceptance Agreement Form?

This form is the contract between Film Grove and the contributing filmmaker that specifies the rights and duties of all parties. It includes language holding Film Grove harmless for any claims arising out of showing the film on the Film Grove streaming channel.

What is the Materials Checklist?

This is the list of the documents and other items that Film Grove requires from the contributing filmmaker before Film Grove will show their film on the streaming channel. It includes, without limitation, actor and location agreements, SAG-AFTRA documents (if applicable), and documents proving the filmmaker has the rights and clearances to the film materials. 

Do you provide feedback if a film is not accepted?

We are unable to provide feedback on individual entries.

How will I know if my film has been accepted?

All filmmakers will be notified via e-mail about final decisions. If no email address is provided, no notification will be sent. We are not responsible for incorrect or nonworking e-mail addresses.

Does Film Grove have any premiere policies?

We prioritize US premieres and this may be a factor in our selection process.

Can I submit multiple films?

Yes. Each submission must be separate.

Do you accept foreign films?
